William G. Malcolm


William G. Malcolm was born in Palo Alto, California in 1959. He graduated from the University of Santa Clara in 1982 with a Bachelor of Science and Commerce degree in Finance. He received his Juris Doctorate from the University Of Santa Clara School Of Law in 1985. He is licensed to practice in California and Texas and before the 5th and 9th Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.

Upon graduation, Mr. Malcolm served as Law Clerk to the Honorable Richard Mednick, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, Los Angeles Division, and Law Clerk to the Honorable John E. Ryan, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California, Santa Ana Division.

Prior to formation of the Firm, Mr. Malcolm was employed in the bankruptcy departments of a National law firm and a prominent Orange County Bankruptcy and Commercial Litigation firm.

Mr. Malcolm has served as a mediator in the Central District Bankruptcy Mediation Program. He was selected by Freddie Mac to serve in the lawyer designate position (only 1 lawyer chosen throughout the country) for a one year term on its prestigious Default Advisory Group. He has also served as a member of the Orange County Bankruptcy Forum’s Special Projects Committee providing continuing education to members of the Bankruptcy bar. Mr. Malcolm has co-authored continuing education materials for the California Continuing Education of the Bar on the topic of Complex Bankruptcy Litigation.
